Church News: Peace, Justice, Youth, Poetry and Star Trek

Prior to the centenary celebrations of the Presbyterian Church in Korea (PCK) and the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK) an ecumenical forum on peace in Northeast Asia was held. It was attended by representatives of many WCRC member churches, as well as ecumenical partners, and issued a final statement with 10 commitments.

The state and national councils of the Uniting Church in Australia will officially support the People’s Climate Marches taking place around Australia and the world in November.

In Germany, EMW (Evangelischen Missionswerk in Deutschland) is holding their annual meeting and featuring three general secretaries as speakers this morning: Chris Ferguson (WCRC), Fykse Tveit (World Council of Churches) and Martin Junge (Lutheran World Federation).
