One of our member churches, the Protestant Reformed Church of Luxembourg, has requested prayer and support.
After several months of difficult negotiations, the relationship between the Luxembourg government and the faith groups within the country is being reorganised, and a treaty was signed between the government and faith leaders at the end of January.
The amount of money provided from the state to the various churches will diminish, which is one point of concern for the Protestant Reformed Church of Luxembourg.
Another is that the two Protestant churches in Luxembourg will only have one point of relationship with the government, rather than each being recognised separately. The details of this new relationship are still to be finalised and will require additional negotiations.
Please join us to pray and show support for our sisters and brothers as they adapt to this new situation. Please also pray that the friendly relationship between the government and all faith groups continues.
